Results are in for the second Advanced meet on the ABRB. Here are the Katmandu Farms horses' finishes and comments:
Race 9 – Fancy Starters Maiden 900m, openSir Tristan finished first,Bonne Journee finished second;"A race of varied young horses of differing qualities. Strong contenders were Sir Tristan, pre race favorite, and Bonne Journee. One Song Glory broke well despite the conditions but had trouble with the condition of the track, as did Ignite the Sky’s and Miss Peach. Sir Tristan broke near the back of the pack and had steered wide to evade the churned ground, and ate up the ground on the leaders Bonnee Journee and Arctic Secret. It was a short, three neck battle near the 700m mark, then with massive strides Sir Tristan broke free for a clear win. "
Race 17 – Memorial Park Maiden 400m, openSantana Beat finished second;"Santana Beat broke well and led the pack, to be challenged by Black Knight, who managed to speed up to take the win by only a head. This was a very fast, close race with 3rd and 4th very close to the 1st & 2nd horses."Santana Beat earned a SI-96.
Race 25 – Moonpa Maiden 1100m, openLouyounne finished first,Rosanabad finished second;"Louyounne breoke fast ahead of pre-race favorite, Rosanabad with Pikhle hard behind. It was a fast race, with Rosanabad holding the lead over his stablemate by a neck or so until the last couple of lengths, where Louyounne moved up and the pair crossed the line so close that it went to photo finish. Louyounne claimed the win. Although Pikhle ran a good race, she was outclassed against her competitors."
